Staff Spotlight with Jeannette Garcia, CRNP
For this month’s employee spotlight, Capitol Vein & Laser Centers is proud to highlight Jeannette Garcia, CRNP, who joined our team last year. With a diverse clinical background and a holistic approach to care, Jeannette brings a unique and valuable perspective to the treatment of vein and lymphatic conditions.
Tell us about your comprehensive approach to vein & lymphatic health.
My expertise goes beyond traditional clinical training. In addition to being a Family Nurse Practitioner, I’m also a certified massage therapist and certified in manual lymphatic drainage which is a specialized technique that supports the movement of lymphatic fluid in the body. This added training enhances my ability to care for patients with complex conditions, such as chronic venous insufficiency and phlebolymphedema.
What is phlebolymphedema?
Phlebolymphedema is a condition where chronic venous insufficiency and lymphatic dysfunction occur together. When vein valves fail and fluid begins to pool in the legs, the lymphatic system can become overwhelmed, leading to persistent swelling, skin changes, and discomfort. Treating both systems together is essential for long-term relief—and that’s where my dual expertise is particularly beneficial.
What would you consider your greatest skills?
Over my career, I’ve developed clinical skills in both medical and aesthetic vein treatments. I’m certified in aesthetic injectables and have treated many patients undergoing sclerotherapy for spider veins. I also care for patients on a personal level, with attention to detail, gentle technique, and ability to customize treatments based on individual goals and medical needs.
My special clinical interests include varicose veins, spider veins, lymphedema, lipedema, and blood clot management.
You also provide bilingual care and a holistic perspective. Tell us more about that.
Yes, I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I’m passionate about making patients feel heard, understood, and comfortable throughout their care journey. As for my holistic approach to health and wellness, I understand how vein and lymphatic conditions are often connected to broader lifestyle, mobility, and circulatory factors. My goal isn’t simply to treat symptoms, but to help patients improve their overall quality of life.
What’s your life like outside of CVL?
When I’m not caring for patients, I enjoy staying active and connected to the world around me. I love spending time with my family, dancing, running, playing volleyball, and getting into nature.
My active lifestyle reflects my belief in movement, balance, and wellness, and I bring those principles into my patient care every day.
