Vein Health awareness at Loudoun Health Fair 2013

Capitol Vein and Laser was honored to be a part of the first annual Loudoun Health and Fitness Fair on February 9th. As noted by Leesburg Today newspaper, "the high-energy event gave people, from 3-year-olds to senior citizens, a first-hand look at a myriad of ways they can get fit and stay fit. More than 30 health and wellness providers manned booths to not only provide information pamphlets, but also to offer demonstrations that gave fairgoers a chance to take part in the fun."

There is much unawareness of venous disease (varicose veins) among the general population. This event enabled CVL to educate people about the symptoms and medical complications of untreated varicose veins and explain the medical insurance coverage of vein treatments. Dr. Garth Rosenberg and CVL's medical liaison Nancy Zay provided complimentary vein screenings to a number of attendees. Questions about spider veins were also a hot topic at the event. Although these smaller types of veins are also very common, they are cosmetic in nature and can be treated easily and effectively with sclerotherapy. For full article in Leesburg Today, click here.
